I can't find the right words to describe what it's been like not being able to write. This is my skill and struggling with it makes me feel inadequate, incomplete. My draft is filled with words that I don't recognise- that my mind doesn't resonate with. Courses and prompts didn't cut it this time, I lost my touch and it made me shitty.
You see, as a writer there’s one unwritten rule that steps your game up- “protect your energy”. What your mind feeds on and the people you open yourself to can make or mar your skill. I exposed myself to an unclean energy that messed up my mind and thought process big time. I would like to believe it's a thing of the past now and it feels good to be back again.🫶🏾
